Dunbartonshire Birthday Honours List awards

Eight people who live in the Dunbartonshire Lieutenancy area have received awards in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List.

Jacqueline Reilly from Cumbernauld, Professor of Infection Prevention and Control at Glasgow Caledonian University, has been awarded the CBE for services to Healthcare and Public Health.

Arlene Sugden from Cumbernauld, Director of the Child Maintenance Service at the Department for Work and Pensions, has been awarded a CBE for Public Service.

David Crossan from Torrance, has been awarded the OBE for services to Exports and Inward Investment in Scotland.

Mike Edwards DL from Shandon, has been awarded the OBE for public and charitable service in Scotland.

Marc Crothall from Bearsden, has been awarded the MBE for services to the Tourism Industry in Scotland.

Former Partick Thistle, Hibs, Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper Alan Rough, who is from Glasgow, has been awarded the MBE for services to football and charity.

Community champion Ah Yee Shek from Kirkintilloch, has been awarded the BEM for services to the Chinese Community in Scotland.

Melody Whitley from Alexandria has been awarded the BEM for services to homeless people in Glasgow.
