Dunbartonshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, has welcomed five new Deputy Lieutenants at a ceremony in Bearsden.

The appointments bring the number of DLs in the Lieutenancy to 21.
Mrs Sandie Scott is the Director of Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations at the NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank.

Mrs Maureen Cummings is the Director of Old Kilpatrick Food and Parcels Hub, a charity formed during lockdown to help the local community by providing food and toiletry items to those in the community who needed them. More than 12,000 people received support by the charity's 100 volunteers.

Mrs Margaret Stewart is a retired prosecutor with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service and is acting chair of the board of governors of the High School of Glasgow.

Mr Nick Allan is a chartered surveyor and business consultant and non-executive director of the Maid of the Loch Steamship Charity.

Mrs Isabel Ewing is a partner with TC Young Solicitors.

Welcoming the new DLs, Mrs Young said, 'I am delighted to appoint our new Deputy Lieutenants to the team. They bring a wealth of experience from their careers and work in the local community and they will be of great service to the Lieutenancy.'
