The Dunbartonshire Lieutenancy
On Sunday 9th October 2022, Deputy Lieutenant, Anne Smillie, attended the traditional Kirkin of the Council Service held in St Mary’s Parish Church, Kirkintilloch.
The Kirkin service is held when a new council is elected. Rev Dr Ruth Morrison presided over the service where Councillors and Officers pledged to serve the people of East Dunbartonshire and over the next political term.
The Deputy Lieutenant was welcomed by Provost Gillian Renwick and was introduced to invited guests.
