DL Anne retires after 27 years

Dunbartonshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, has paid tribute to a long-serving Deputy Lieutenant who has retired after 27 years. Anne O'Hagen from Bearsden was appointed as a DL on 16 August 1996. Since then she has been very active throughout the local community, working with several charities and youth organisations - duties she carried out alongside a busy career as a Chartered Accountant. She was Chair of the Lieutenancy Honours and Awards Committee and attended numerous events to represent the Lord-Lieutenant, such as Citizenship Ceremonies, Honours Investitures, Remembrance Memorials, Civic Events and Royal Visits to the County. Mrs Young said, 'Anne has been a tireless worker for the community down her 27 years as a Deputy Lieutenant and she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and friends.'
