RAF Air Cadets officer receives award from Lord-Lieutenant

The Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire Mrs Jill Young MBE, visited RAFAC 1777 Squadron in Dumbarton on May 30th to present the Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service to Flt Lt Iain Forsyth, Officer Commanding.

Flt Lt Forsyth was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in the RAF VR(T) in 2012 and has been an unstinting supporter and trainer of cadets. He assumed Command of 1777 Squadron (Dumbarton) in 2015 and is a qualified Clay Target Shooting Safety Officer, Heartstart Instructor and holds the Duke of Edinburgh basic Expedition Leaders Award and is a Bronze and Silver Assessor.
