Lord-Lieutenant welcomes new team members.

Dunbartonshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, has welcomed the Lieutenancy's new Clerk and Officer to their roles upon their appointment on July 1st, 2022.

The Clerk of the Lieutenancy is Mr Gerry Cornes, the Chief Executive of East Dunbartonshire Council. Mr Cornes replaces Mrs Joyce White, who retired earlier this year.

The new Officer of the Lieutenancy is Margaret Hendrie, who replaces Elaine Boyle.

Mrs Young said, 'With effect from 1 July 2022, the Lieutenancy is delighted to announce that Gerry Cornes, Chief Executive of East Dunbarton Council assumes the role of Clerk to the Lieutenancy and his PA, Maggie Martin, will serve as the Lieutenancy Officer; we welcome them and look forward to working with them.  The Lieutenancy would like to thank Joyce White, the outgoing Clerk, for all her support over the years and to wish her a happy retirement from her role as Chief Executive of West Dunbartonshire Council and also to Elaine Boyle, for all she has done for us as the Lieutenancy Officer.’
