Lord-Lieutenant makes changes to Lieutenancy team

Dunbartonshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, has announced changes to the Lieutenancy team.

She wanted to thank Linda Moffat RD DL for her sterling service and excellent support as Vice Lord-Lieutenant for a three year appointment which she began in January 2021.

Helensburgh-based Deputy Lieutenant, Jim Rogers, has taken over and been appointed the new Vice Lord-Lieutenant for a three year commission.

Mrs Young said,' I very much look forward to working closely with Jim in the years ahead.'

Mr Rogers is a former RAF pilot and flew Hercules transport aircraft before spending 22 years with British Airways. He is a keen sailor and was Commodore of the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club and an elder of the Rhu and Shandon Church of Scotland.

Mrs Young has also welcomed new Deputy Lieutenant, Professor Elaine Boyd OBE, to the team.

Elaine is a Director with Audit Scotland and was awarded the OBE for public and charitable services in the 2023 New Year Honours List. She is a disability advocate supporting several disabled sports organisations.

Mrs Young said, 'I look forward to working with Elaine. She brings a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience to the post and is an asset to the Lieutenancy team.'
