Hundreds of people lined the streets of Dumbarton for the annual Armed Forces Day parade in the town.

The march was made up of regular and reserve forces, cadets and Royal British Legion members.

The parade started at the health centre before marching down High Street and Church Street where the salute was taken by the Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE.

Also in attendance on the dais were the Douglas McAllister, the Provost of West Dunbartonshire, his deputy John Miller, Dame Jackie Baillie MSP and Rev Stephen Blakey, military chaplain for Scotland.

Military re-enactment enthusiasts were also on parade, with vehicles and weapons from World War Two on show.

The parade was led by Colonel Bobby Steele and Major Garry MacLeod MBE DL.

Marchers had musical accompaniment from the Balaklava pipes and drums of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Association, and the parade culminated in a church service at the Council Office in the town's Church Street.
