New Lord-Lieutenant's Cadets appointed

Dunbartonshire's Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE has appointed three new Lord Lieutenant's cadets.

They are, Leading Cadet Samantha Evans, TS Queen Elizabeth, Clydebank Sea Cadets, Cadet Staff Sergeant Dugald Adkins, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Battalion ACF, Helensburgh Detachment and Cadet Flight Sergeant Connor McCairn, 1777 Air Cadet Squadron, Dumbarton.

When on duty, Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets wear a distinctive badge on their uniform to denote their role.

They assist the Lord-Lieutenant as required – often on parade for Royal visits – and act as ambassadors for their organisations and the young people of Dunbartonshire.

Mrs Young said, 'I'd like to welcome my three new cadets to their roles. They are a credit to their cadet organisations, to Dunbartonshire and to themselves.'
