Dunbartonshire carers' support group marks 21 years

A charity which helps care for carers has marked its 21st anniversary. Carers Link East Dunbartonshire has held its 21st Annual General Meeting and since 2004, the charity has supported more than 7,000 of East Dunbartonshire's family carers.

It supports adults and young carers who help family, neighbours or friends because they could not manage without them due to illness, disability or age.  

With one person in every seven in Scotland now providing care, families need support with the human costs involved as too often caring can have a profound impact on a carers’ own health, wellbeing and quality of life.
