Cadets week marked by personalities & promotions

Dignitaries were invited to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Battalion of the Army Cadet Force as they marked National Cadets Week.

Elaine Ferguson DL visited the Helensburgh and Clydebank Detachments and saw cadets hone their drilling skills in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.

She chatted with cadets, hearing about their hopes for the future, the skills they have learned and how these will help them not only in the cadets but also in later life.

Elaine was joined at the Clydebank Detachment by Douglas McAllister MP and they were given the honour of presenting two promotions.

Mr McAllister promoted Cadet McInally to Lance Corporal and Elaine promoted Lance Corporal Wong to Corporal.
