Lord Lieutenant lays Principal Remembrance wreath in Clydebank

Dunbartonshire’s Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, led Acts of Remembrance by laying the principal wreath at the Clydebank War Memorial. She was accompanied by the LL Cadet LC Joanne Durnan. Wreaths were also laid by Provost W. Hendrie, Bailie D Agnew, Marie McNair MSP, Martin Docherty-Hughes MP and Mrs J White CEO West Dunbartonshire Council.

Despite the ongoing restrictions Deputy Lieutenants laid wreaths at Memorials throughout the County as individual acts of remembrance.   The Lord-Lieutenant said 'Hopefully we will soon return to normal services of remembrance but it was important this year, despite some restrictions, to show our gratitude to those in all walks of life who gave so much for our freedom, by laying wreaths at memorials in the usual way'

Mrs Anne Smillie DL attended the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial, Burngreen Park. Kilsyth to lay the Principal Wreath.

Major Mike Edwards DL attended the ceremony at the war memorial in Shandon and laid a Remembrance wreath.
