Lord Lieutenant attends Emergency Services Day in Clydebank

Dunbartonshire's Lord Lieutenant, Mrs Jill Young MBE, joined a ceremony in Clydebank on September 9th to mark Emergency Services Day 2021. Nearly two million people work and volunteer in the emergency services across the country - a quarter of a million of them, first responders. The emergency services flag was raised at Solidarity Plaza in the town. Afterwards a two-minute’s silence was held to remember the more than 7,500 emergency services personnel killed in the line of duty in the last 200 years and to remember the many more who have been injured or died as a result of their service.
