Vice Lord-Lieutenant lights Jubilee Beacon

The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire, Linda Moffat RD DL, lit the Platinum Jubilee beacon at Dumbarton Castle to mark the anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne 70 years ago.

Linda said, 'It was a huge privilege to undertake this role on such an extraordinary occasion. I hope that many thousands of people across the UK and beyond were able to see the beacon and in doing so, embrace this nationwide celebration.'
