King's Scout award to Rhu leader

The Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Jill Young MBE was delighted to attend the 1st Rhu Scouts AGM June 2023 to present The Kings Scout Award to Leader Andy Lamont which is a tremendous achievement for outstanding service.

Mrs Young said, 'It's a great pleasure to see the work done by Andy. Scouting has a huge impact on young people in our communities and he thoroughly deserves his accolade.'

The King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members and comprises variety of activities to complete.

It is closely linked to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award.
