Civic Reception marks DL's MBE & retirement

More than 100 people attended a Civic Reception held by West Dunbartonshire Council to celebrate the MBE awarded to Deputy Lieutenant Tom Finnigan and his retirement from the bench as a Justice of the Peace.

Among those attending the reception in the Garden Gallery at Clydebank Town Hall, were the Lord Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire, Mrs Jill Young MBE, Tom’s family and friends, councillors and senior managers from West Dunbartonshire Council.

Also present were members of Scottish Court Service, Sheriffs, Justices of the Peace and other local dignitaries.

Tom was awarded the MBE in the New Years Honours List for services to justice and to the community in West Dunbartonshire.
He served as a Justice of the Peace , sitting at Dumbarton JP Court and elsewhere, for more than 20 years and served on the Justice of the Peace at Dumbarton Sheriff Court for over 23 years.
