Dunbartonshire residents receive Honours

Four people in the Dunbartonshire Lieutenancy have been recognised by His Majesty King Charles in the 2024 New Year Honours List.

Professor William Cushley from Bishopbriggs has been awarded the OBE for services to the regulation of plant
protection products. He is Chair of the UK Expert Committee on Pesticides.

West Scotland MSP Pam Gosal, who lives in Milngavie, has been awarded the MBE for services to
business, racial equality and charity.

Professor Yvonne Perrie from Bearsden, who is professor of drug delivery and head of the Strathclyde Institute for Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, has been awarded the MBE for services to pharmaceutical innovation and regulation.

William Hutton from Milton of Campsie, the founder of the Campsie Accordion and Fiddle
Club, has ben awarded the British Empire Medal, for services to Music and to the
community in Dunbartonshire.
