Milton of Campsie couple celebrate Diamond wedding

James and Mary Slaven celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with a message from King Charles and Queen Camilla at their home in Milton of Campsie.

The coupe were married on 24^th April 1964 in St Patrick’s Church Coatbridge.

Settling  in Milton of Campsie, they had 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

The message from the King was delivered by Mark Billington DL and the Deputy Provost of East Dunbartonshire Colette McDiarmid presented them with a copy of their marriage certificate.

Dunbartonshire Deputy Lieutenant Nick Allan DL, was also in attendance.
