New citizens sworn in at Dunbartonshire ceremony

Sixteen new UK citizens have been sworn in at a ceremony in Kilmardinny House in Bearsden.

Registrar Christine Wilkie (far left) Professor Boyd (second left) & Provost Renwick (fourth left) pictured with the new citizens.

They came from India, USA, China, Syria, Iran, Australia, Egypt, The Philippines and Cyprus.

The ceremony was conducted by East Dunbartonshire Registrar Christine Wilkie. Also in attendance were Deputy Lieutenant Professor Elaine Boyd OBE DL, who read a message of welcome from the King and Provost Gillian Renwick of East Dunbartonshire Council.
