A woman who came to work in Helensburgh in 1966 has become a UK citizen, nearly 50 years later.
Ingmari Witton, who was born in Sweden, worked as an au pair in Helensburgh before marrying her husband David a year later.
He accompanied her at her citizenship ceremony in the town’s civic centre, where Deputy Lieutenant, Professor Elaine Boyd OBE, read a welcome message from King Charles and Ingmari received a commemorative coin from Argyll and Bute Council.
