George and Patricia Morris from Bishopbriggs were married on August 26th 1955 and celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary almost 70 years to the day.
They received a goodwill message from King Charles read by Deputy Lieutenant Maureen Cummings and a bouquet of flowers from East Dunbartonshire's Provost, Gillian Renwick.
