Eight new UK citizens sworn in

Kilmardinny House in Bearsden hosted a British Citizenship Ceremony, marking a significant milestone for eight new citizens. The event was hosted by Registrar Christine Wilkie and attended by the Provost of East Dunbartonshire, Gillian Renwick.  A welcome message from His Majesty, King Charles was read by Deputy Lieutenant Anne Smillie.

The ceremony was an enjoyable occasion for the recipients and their families, who celebrated the culmination of their hard work and dedication in achieving British citizenship.

Each individual, all of whom came originally from India, was presented with a Certificate of Citizenship, officially recognising their status as British citizens.
