Garelochhead veterans remember

Volunteers from the Garelochhead Support Trust ( formerly Garelochhead Station Trust ) have held a Remembrance brunch for serving military personnel, veterans & their families.

They meet every other week at Centre 81 in the village for a social, go out on regular trips and visits and offer support where they can.

The event was attended by Deputy Lieutenant Rev Dom Ind, Rector of St Michael and All Angels Episcopalian Church in Helensburgh.

He spoke about what we learn from history is that we don't learn from history and that what we may learn in November is from extraordinary individuals who have something to teach us about service, a major feature of being in the Armed Forces.
