Scouts awarded at AGM

Adult volunteers’ contribution to the Scouting movement has been marked at the AGM of Dumbarton District in the Scout Hall Cardross.

There were 3 awards presented to Adult Volunteers by local Deputy Lieutenant, Elaine Ferguson.

Finlay Lipp received the Chief Scout five year service award, Connor Somerville the Chief Scout’s commendation for good service and Sarah Linton, the Wood Badge.

In addition to the official business of the AGM there were two presentations.

The first was from four Scouts who attended the 40th Scottish International Patrol Jamborette in Blair Atholl in July.

The presentation was accompanied by photos of the activities and the audience heard about all the friendships made with Scouts from the different countries who attended.

The second presentation was delivered by one of the volunteers about the recent trip the Clydebank Scouts made to Prague where they saw the sights and visited the Ambassador in  his residence.
